Tenses: Present Perfect Continuous



 d) Present Perfect Continuous Tense:
             
                       This tense can be used when an activity has been started in the past and is still being run in the present.

 formula: subject + have/has + been + v1 + ing + object

Ex: I have been working for 5 hours.


          It means that I started my work 5 hours ago (past) and still doing it(present). Let me give you more examples:

     *They have been playing cricket since 9 o' clock.
     *He has been staring at that girl for 3 hours.
     *She has not been performing well for 3 months.
